Research Projects
The SBDR intends to find new ways of treatment for type 1 and 2 diabetes and collaborates with leading research centers to establish consortia and to develop new strategies. Projects based on new ideas are suggested to funding agencies for governmental research funding within Europe and world-wide. It is our aim to bring together internationally leading scientists in diabetes research for the creation of medium-sized and large collaborative projects. Projects are set up and planned together with the projects partners. Together with the principal investigators and coordinators of the projects proposals are prepared for submission to funding agencies and projects are carried out on announced calls and prospective calls based on suggestions by the SBDR.
Currently, the research projects presented below are on the way. The projects include consortia with leading scientists as well as detailed projects plans.
